This is truly wonderful news! Having lived most of my life in the OC area--surrounded by lima bean fields and orange groves as a kid--and witnessing suburban sprawl engulf the open spaces, this news is almost too good to be true. I never thought I'd live to see the day when farms would once again start replacing concrete and steel (a military base no less!). Hope this starts a new trend. Next up: local co-op farms in place of shopping malls!
